Anthony Lee Wood was formerly the emcee and lead male vocalist at the Music Theatre of Williamsburg until its closing in 2004. He performs many different characters such as: Elvis, Buddy Holly, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Tom Jones, Dean Martin, Neil Diamond, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Bee Gees, KC and the Sunshine Band, Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin, Johnny Cash, George Jones, Conway Twitty, The Diamonds, The Platters, The Four Tops, The Everly Brothers, Bing Crosby, Sonny Bono and many, many others.
Anthony captures the voice and styling's of the characters that he performs complete with costumes and staging that take you back in time and make you feel as if you are seeing and listening to the real stars themselves.
Anthony has been entertaining audiences for over twenty-five years. Back in the early 1990's, he performed at Donk's Theatre in Matthews, Virginia, where he was the first performer in it's twenty-five year history to "sell-out" his first concert. He went on to "sell-out" all of his concerts while there. His fans came to expect shows that were full of entertainment.
In the mid-1990's, Anthony became the lead singer for for the Band "StreetTalk". Anthony and the band performed all over the Southeast opening for many National Acts such as: Tanya Tucker, Trace Atkins, Neal McCoy, Blackhawk, Tracy Byrd, Travis Tritt, John Berry, Faith Hill, Jodie Meseena, Wade Hayes, and many others.
Most recently, Anthony Wrote, Produced, Directed and Performed in "Up and Away to the Hits of Yesterday!" at the Kimball Theatre in Colonial Williamsburg to "sell-out" audiences.
Anthony is fully committed in writing shows that give people the best entertainment they could find from here to Vegas! He truly believes that people want to be taken back in time to their fondest memories and there is no better way than through the greatest hits of all time.
